Designed by Victoria Made, this striking Japanese-inspired #cake features glinting hand-painted waves reminiscent of those found in woodblock prints of the ukiyo-e, or "floating world," school. Intricately crafted out of sugar, lotus-like blooms and bamboo-style leaves with charred edges and pale ochre hues complement where green foliage would clash.
This wedding cake was inspired by the romance and whimsy of garden weddings. Alternating tier heights add architectural interest with just the right amount of texture supplied by shimmering blush and cream sugar pearls, which adorn each shorter tier. Handcrafted sugar wildflowers and greenery displayed in an offset spray give a modern touch to a classically elegant cake.
