Ukrainian artist Dariya Marchenko created a portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin made out of 5,000 cartridges recovered from the fighting between the Ukrainian army and pro-Russian rebels in the east of the country. Marchenko calls her art philosophic symbolism, where every element has its hidden meaning. Despite the ceasefire in February and an agreement to stop the use of heavy weapons, fighting continues in some areas.
