We set out with our own goal too: 400 participants & 2014lbs. And needless to say, much like many of those who competed in the challenge, we met and far surpassed that goal! Between all five of the Elite Sports Clubs, we had 406 participants, and together, they lost a total of 2239.8lbs!

In recent years, while remaining active (tennis & golf), I had allowed my general fitness to deteriorate and had added some extra pounds. By late 2011 through diet awareness, I lost most of the extra weight but was still not doing anything about fitness. In December of that year, I began to experience some lower back issues and in late December experienced some debilitating pain.
