5. Sea Pig ( really ) Yes, once again you must wonder who gets to name these newly discovered creatures. Although this pink worm may haunt your nightmares ,it will never hurt you. It spends most of its time on the ocean floor moving on tube legs....just being a harmless sea pig.
Velella is commonly known by the names sea raft, by-the-wind sailor, purple sail or little sail. Currently the only known and identified species is the Velella velella. Like the Blue Button Jelly, it is a hydroid; a single life form made of many many specialized smaller creatures.
