In the kitchen of this New York apartment, designers Celerie Kemble and Caroline Irvin of Kemble Interiors do pastels in a modern way. The floors were painted in a trellis pattern by Christopher Rollinson Design and the banquette and Saarinen Tulip chairs are covered in Kemble's Valtekz Torello faux leather for Valley Forge Fabrics. Try it at home: Update your powder room with a fresh set of towels and a small rug in these shades.

James, left, and Rex do homework at the kitchen’s Saarinen table, under the gaze of Simon Birch oil portraits of their younger brothers; the banquette and Saarinen chairs are cushioned in a DeLany & Long outdoor leather.
Gracing one wall of the kitchen are several photo-based works by Walead Beshty; the Bethan Laura Wood pendant lamps are from Nilufar, and the custom-made BDDW table is surrounded by vintage Mathieu Matégot dining chairs and a banquette by Rafael de Cárdenas in a Holly Hunt leather.
