Onegin is a movie based on a Pushkin's Russian novel that was also translated in to an opera and ballet. I am pretty sure that story line follows the novel but it falls a bit flat, despite talented actors, Ralph Fiennes and Liv Tyler, as leads. I think director tried too hard to be the modern version of Dr. Zhivago.
