Exuberant Sampler Quilt from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Very well designed with all different blocks and the 4 corners repeating the Carolina Lily pattern. It is a combination of traditional and original patterns with the most unusual "Old Homestead" embroidered inscription below the building. In addition to the pieced and applique patterns creating a sampler, the quilting patterns do as well. Each quilting pattern is different and relates to the pieced or applique block. Professionally laundered. Measures 76" square.
