An incredible and unbelievable story that is unique and that's what kept me turning the pages. It is well deserved to be a classic, a film and to be generally held in high regard. I would recommend reading this book.
I first read this book for an Ethics class, shockingly I hadn't read it previous in spite of liking Steinbeck's other works. This has now surpassed Grapes of Wrath as my favorite of his. It's full of historical and social allegories of the time period depicted within. There is a tearjerking end that will leave you questioning situations. I highly encourage you to read this selection.
