#TBTravel: The Florence Griswold Museum, formerly known as the Florence Griswold Home, is a Late Georgian-style mansion built in 1817 on a twelve-acre estate, and was purchased by Captain Robert Griswold for his bride Helen Powers in 1841. Under the care of their daughter, “Miss Florence” Griswold, the house became the center of America’s best-known Impressionist art colony. The home was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1993 and now exhibits collections of American art and history.
