It's Tops Coffee Shop - It was built in 1935, it probably looks pretty much the same as it did back then. The menu is probably pretty much the same too with some modern-day additions. And it's still one of the best places in the city for some good-old diner food, Is it gourmet? No where close. It is however voted best diner over and over again. It's fun and nostalgic and it's a San Francisco landmark. I try to go at least once every time I'm in the city.
la boulange! i seriously LOVE this place. it's a french cafe in san francisco. (there are actually a number of them all over san fran) simple, clean, small, well-designed, perfectly cooked. i wish that more people could open cafes that achieve the same level of amazing. if in san francisco, find a way to go.
