Astronomers find supermassive black hole blasting molecular gas at 600,000 miles per hour from a galaxy - Hubble Space Telescope image of the central part of Seyfert galaxy IC 5063. The brighter part at the center shows the region where the jets driven by the supermassive black hole are blasting material out of the galaxy. - Credit: NASA/ESA and the Hubble Space Telescope archive

This Hubble Space Telescope image shows U Camelopardalis, a star nearing the end of its life located in the constellation of Camelopardalis (The Giraffe), near the North Celestial Pole. As it begins to run low on fuel, it is becoming unstable. Every few thousand years, it coughs out a nearly spherical shell of gas as a layer of helium around its core begins to fuse.
