5 ways to make your slow stitched projects look uniquely beautiful - and fix any 'mistakes'
It's fun to see what happens when you explore the possibilities of Slow Stitching & Improv Quilting. Here are a few ideas for how to make it a little easier to start or to work through when you don't love your finished piece.
Make a Slow Stitched Treasure Pouche
Find some beautiful fabric scraps, needle & thread and start to slow stitch your bag shape piece. You'll need: • 1 x lining pieces approx 15x9cm (6x3.5") • 1 x base circle approx 5.4cm (2 1/2") diameter • 1 x drawstring channel approx 15 x 4.5cm (6 x 1 3/4") • ribbon or string long enough for the drawstring • fabric scraps to cover the lining piece + base circle - this is where you have the fun of slow stitching, embroidery and whatever embellishment you like.
