Sitting All Day Is Really, Really Bad For You (Infographic)...I've battled this for the past years. I love what I do, but it does require a work atmosphere that is mostly revolved around sitting. You have got to be proactive to avoid these effects.
When you're feeling really tense, try a full-body stretch. Repeat each exercise for 5 breaths. Sit straight in a chair w/ both feet flat on the floor. Exhale as you round your spine forward then inhale as you arch your back. Next, inhale & extend your arms straight up. Stretch to the right as you exhale. Inhale as you come back to the center, then exhale to the left. Lastly, with arms bent at your side, exhale & rotate your torso to the right. Inhale back to center & twist to the left.
