We're clipping the Yew topiary at present, this will take until mid October and produce 3.5 tons of clippings. For the past 19 years we have been sending the clippings away for cancer research. The clippings are dried and the required substance removed and eventually makes the drug Tamoxifen At present we receive 35p a kilo for the clippings and it's great to put a waste product to such a deserving cause.
Now is the time to see #snowdrops and #signsofspring the length and breadth of Wales. This photo was taken yesterday on the Chirk Castle National Trust snowdrop walk.
