There’s less people, you can actually find a coveted street parking spot, and there’s so much to see and do in every borough. The Joker Steps in The Bronx
The “Joker Stairs” (aka Shakespeare Steps or Guason Stairs) is a colloquial name of 132 steps connecting Anderson and Shakespeare Avenues in the Highbridge neighborhood of the Bronx. 🎬Watch til the end for my recreation of the iconic movie scene. Located near the 167th Street station on the 4 train, the stairs became a tourist attraction after its feature appearance in the first Joker movie. Assuming popularity to visit the Joker Stairs will arise again once the Joker 2 movie comes out, visitors might be in for a surprise… In 2023 the historic Shakespeare Stairs got a mural makeover by the CityArts organization in an effort to reclaim the steps for the community. p.s. Peak fall foliage in NYC
Fall foliage in NYC is nearing its end for this year! While it wasn’t the overly saturated color that it has been in previous years, peak is definitely here now. It dawned on me that a lot of the locations where the cherry blossoms bloom in the spring are the same trees that change color in the fall... Sunrise at Summit One Vanderbilt Observatory
As a photographer, I had no idea there’s a ‘World Photography Day’ 😅 I went to celebrate by chasing sunrise on 0 hours of sleep at Summit One Observatory. While tickets to this limited access event is capped, the experience itself is the same during the day. What you can expect: ‘Air’ is 3 levels of immersive space 1000 feet in the sky, designed by Kenzo Digital +The journey opens with ‘Transcendence 1’ on the 91st floor, with also ‘Transcendence 2’ on the 92nd looking down. +’Affinity’ is an immersive and interactive tool to play in.
