Mini ceramic strawberry plate, hand-made pottery, unique piece
This mini plate/cup will be perfect to brighten up your table or your decoration. Decor painted by hand. Size: 12.5cm in diameter (approx). This small plate is a unique piece and was modeled by hand in chamotte sandstone. It was brush painted with slip and then dried for about a week. It was baked in the oven the first time. “No loudness is to be registered, only dynamic rest.” Gertrud Vasegaard (1913-2007) was a third-generation Danish potter. She lived and breathed ceramics until her death at 94. Vasegaard was little known outside of Denmark, but for one exhibition of her work in the UK in 2011. The above quote is from a review of that show. The repetition, lines and dynamic simplicity that can be attributed to her work can also be said of her classic style.
