Interesting use of base layer – Laser cut fabric with embroidery around the raw edges to further compliment the organic style of the fabric. A way of translating this example to further suit my selected theme could be by purchasing a tribal/Aztec-patterned fabric and then beading in various ways around the motifs. The artisans could possible cut out or add applique to the fabric as a way introducing more techniques to the sample.
