How to make... -rinse and scrub potatoes -cut into thin slices (not all the way through), use a spoon or knife beside potato to keep you from cutting all the way through -put in baking dish and fan out slices -sprinkle with salt and drizzle with butter, sprinkle with herbs -bake at 425 for about 50 minutes -remove from oven and sprinkle with cheeses (whatever you want) -bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese are melted and potatoes are soft inside
One of my absolute favorite desserts. So decadent and surprising -- love how the sauce and the cake bake together. Since I don't like dates, I don't use them in the recipe. And let me tell you: it's still a warm and wonderful way to end the day.
