1950's Engineers Drawer Units - Twenty Four Drawers
We recently cleared an engineering workshop in Northamptonshire, buying a large batch of these stunning drawer units originally made by the workshop and used to house machine tools and parts. The company was a machine tool specialist and made tools and parts for Aston Martin. All drawers run well and retain their original pressed brass handles and name card holders. Pitch pine construction throughout. Internal drawer dimensions 45L x 62W x 7H all cm.
1950's Long French Art College Bank Of Drawers - Thirty Six Drawers.
Sourced from an art college in southern France, is this stunning long and well proportioned bank of drawers in its original dusty pink with the original grey painted top. Made in pitch pine throughout with all the original pressed black metal handles. We love the faded pink colour, the scale and practicality. Our workshop has ensured all drawers run smoothly. Internal drawers dimensions 34l x 45w x 11h, all cm.
1940's Large French Oak Atelier Cabinet - Tambour Fronted.
French Oak Atelier cabinet from a lawyers office in Alsace. The bottom section is tambour fronted with doors that slide smoothly to each side and wrap around inside to be hidden. Inside is one fixed shelf. The top section is also tambour fronted vertically with large oak handles, revealing twenty-four beautiful clapper fronted sections, each with a turned knob, that pull down for access. Clappers inside 30l x 37w x 10h (cm). Bottom cupboard 40l x 107w x 35cm height both top and bottom.
1950's French Original Workshop Multidrawer Cabinet - Industrial Green.
One of our favourite finds, we sourced this cabinet in Lille where it was hiding in the back of a tool-making workshop. The cabinet is heavy and substantial, housing ninety-two drawers, all running smoothly, a mixture of which have internal fittings which are generally not removable. The pressed metal handles and industrial green finish are original throughout. The top is the original planked pitch pine. Internal drawer size small drawers, L32 x W21 x H5, Large drawers L32 x W21 x H9, all cm.
1940's Twenty Four Painted Bank Of Drawers - Haberdashery.
Sourced in Lancashire this is a lovely original painted bank of drawers made specifically to house 'Simplicity Printed Patterns', retaining the original branding. Made principally of pine, retaining the original aged painted finish with the original set of pressed bronze coloured handles and label markers. Internal drawer dimensions: 15L x 54W x 26H all cm.
