Lorenzo Lotto (1480-1556) Venice-Loreto, Marche

Although Lorenzo Lotto was born in Venice and is generally considered as representing the Venetian School of Renaissance art, he spent a great deal of his productive life in Le Marche. He was active during the High Renaissance, but his work is unique in marking the transition into 16th century Mannerism.
