SHAYA on Instagram: "Perfect Monstera Leaf Skeleton. I wasn't sure I could do it with a giant 18inch leaf. There’s something magical about slowing down with nature. Making a leaf skeleton isn’t fast or fancy.. but it is deeply satisfying. All it takes is a fresh leaf, some water, and three weeks of quiet waiting. DETAILED PROCESS: Start with a green or yellow leaf—not one that’s dry and crispy. It needs to have a strong vein system, so avoid succulents or water-storing leaves. Place the leaf in a tray of water, and use pebbles to keep it fully submerged. Now the real work begins: waiting. For at least three weeks, the chlorophyll breaks down, and the leaf becomes soft, slimy, and slightly unpleasant-smelling. It’s all part of the process. Change the water once or twice a week to keep
