164K views · 315 reactions | Dubai chocolate has gone viral, as have date barks, so we thought we’d bring the two together. We’ve taken the infamous Dubai Chocolate given it a nourishing twist with medjool dates, pistachios, tahini and mixed seeds!💫 What You’ll Need: - 100g pistachios, (or use 100g shop-bought pistachio butter) - 1 pack of Medjool dates, (about 200g) pitted - 1 tablespoon tahini, (optional) - 2 tablespoons mixed seeds, (we used pumpkin seeds & sunflower seeds) - handfuls of pistachios, (about 50g) roughly chopped - 200g dark chocolate, melted - pinch of flaky sea salt How To Make Them: 1. To make the pistachio butter, preheat the oven to 160°C fan, tip the pistachios onto a small baking tray and roast for 8-10 minutes, until golden. Cool briefly, then transfer to a high-speed food processor and blitz until smooth. 2. Line a small baking tray with baking parchment. Spread the dates out on the tray and use the bottom of weighty/heavy glass to squash them into a single layer, making sure that they’re slightly overlapping. 3. In a small bowl, combine the pistachio butter and tahini (if using). Scoop the mixture onto the dates and spread out into an even a layer. 4. Scatter over the seeds and pistachios, and gently press them into the pistachio butter. Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes (optional — this will make it easier to add the chocolate layer). 5. Pour over the melted chocolate and gently smooth out using the back of a spoon. Scatter over a generous pinch of flaky sea salt. Chill in the fridge for up to an hour, or until the chocolate has set. 6. To serve, use a sharp knife to slice into bite-sized pieces. These bites will keep in the fridge (in a sealed container) for up to a week. | Deliciously Ella
