Autumn is a dream time of year for photographers and I don't think I really appreciated it until I took up photography! Shorter days mean that the light is softer throughout the day and 'golden hour' is much earlier than in spring/summer. The autumn colours provide a beautiful backdrop and the ground is covered in leaves and conkers, perfect for children to play with.
