Fruit-piercing Moth (Eudocima salaminia), family Noctuidae - Fraser’s Hill, Malaysia, March, 2009 Found in Malaysia - Indonesia - Australia. The wingspan is about 8 cm. The larvae feed on Stephania japonica and Sarcopetalum harveyanum. Adults are a pest on fruit plantations. They penetrate fruit in order to suck the juices.
