EntrePicos / by Coco Roto The reason why I selected this zine layout was because of the layout which is made up of a mixture of images, typography and little drawn diagrams. I think this zine will help me because it will give more ideas on what sized photographs I should use, what type of text I could use and how I could include diagrams.
This sequence of work (primarily Kate's A Level Art sketchbook pages) shows experimentation with media and the exploration of compositional ideas. Artist influences are chosen cleverly: seamlessly integrating with her own aesthetic.
These sketchbook pages are the unequivocal result of effort, passion and enthusiasm. Although 'decoration' is usually unnecessary within a textile or fashion design sketchbook, in this case, the background patterning demonstrates a complete understanding of the aesthetic; a strong personal response to the colours, shapes, textures, lines and forms of the work studied.
