Cotswold Country Park and Beach. This is a series of freshwater, manmade lakes and beaches in the middle of the Cotswolds. We had a lovely day there. The kids swam and had a go at Zorbing. The walk round the lake was lovely too.
Longleat Safari Park in Wiltshire, was opened in 1966 and was the first drive-through safari park outside Africa. Though I would much rather see these animals in their natural habitat, this is the closest I'm going to get for now.
Stokesay Castle. This is the oddest castle I've seen. There is a round tower on one and and a house jutting out of the upper floor at the other end with the middle looking like a church with it's arched windows.
Wyre Forest (Far Forest) straddles the borders of Worcestershire and Shropshire. Well maintained forest with clearly marked trails for walkers, horseriders and cyclists. There are some lovely places to stop for picnics and there is a Go Ape facility for the more adventurous.
