Recipe for ROAST JANUARY KING CABBAGE, POMEGRANATE SALSA — KaliCooking
Gorgeous cabbage! January king with pomegranate salsa.. add some colour to your dinner table! This has been one of my go to recipes lately, loving the fresh pop of the pomegranate and sweet moresish roasted cabbage dressed with that sweet and tangy pomegranate. This would look beautiful on your festive table, it works well as part of a bigger spread, add some protein, and/ or carbs alongside for a meal with cabbage as the star of the show. Check out my post to see my serving suggestions.

Who said winter veg was boring?! This warm winter salad says otherwise, beautiful radicchio, beetroot, and heritage carrot, resting on a bed of warm white bean puree. This dish offers both nourishment and comfort, but can be elevated by artfully plated to impress your guests! 🌿💜
BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH BUTTERBEAN AIOLI, PANGRATTATO
Seasonal festive vegetables. Pan-fried Brussels sprouts on a bed of butterbean aioli, topped with pangrattato and a fresh herb salad.
ROAST SQUASH, HAZELNUT CREAM, DATES & CRISPY SAGE
This is such a lovely way to serve squash. Squash, sage and hazelnut are nothing new but a classic combination for a reason. What makes this dish a little different is the hazelnut cream and chopped dates which add an extra creaminess and surprise sweet bites that pair so well with the sweetness from the squash and hazelnut. A perfect addition to your festive spread.
PART 2. FESTIVE COOKING - PARTY FOOD | DIPS & CANAPÉS
Next in my mini-series on festive food and entertaining, I’m sharing easy canapé recipes and a couple of my favourite dips. Not only do they taste delicious, but they look stunning, adding a burst of brightness and colour to your festive table. The great thing about dips they are easy party food and they can be made in advance then whipped out and garnished when guests arrive. Most of the prep for these canapés can also be done in advance, then you just assemble at the last minute.
Poached Pear & Yuzu Trifle
This is a little off-piste to my usual recipes, but thought I’d share something different! A twist on the classic, I know fresh yuzu is a bit of a treat and not easy to find, but if you happen to have a great citrus supplier… try it!

I made this a couple of weeks ago because I didn’t have much else to eat in the house. I was tired, craving toast but something filling, so this came about.. it was so good I went back for seconds. 😆 Not really a big leek fan before, I had some leftover from a job I’d done & didn’t want to waste them, and now I love them. 😅 Make smaller toasts for entertaining or regular size slices for a quick and super tasty lunch, or dinner. 🙌🏼
ROAST CAULIFLOWER & LENTIL SALAD WITH CORIANDER CHUTNEY — KaliCooking
I'm loving these flavours at the moment! They really brighten up your plate, which feels so needed this time of year. 🌿 ⚡️ Warm, spiced cauliflower, nourishing lentils, tons of chunky fresh herbs, (love my herbs like this - taking the place of greens) fresh and zingy coriander chutney. Fun, fresh, and still warming. I'm going to share some more recipes soon, of similar style, winter veg but fresh and bursting with flavour.. Ready for your festive spread! ✨♥️
