Taking its name from the old English term for altar, ‘Hearg’ is a limited edition furniture collection which is deeply rooted in KAIA’s philosophy of skilled craftsmanship and minimalistic form. It’s waxed aluminium structure is hand built in Italy by one of KAIA’s vast network of European ateliers and embodies our commitment to take a stand against the ephemeral. The legs, which perforate the surface structure to reveal a concentric pattern, are inspired by the monolithic concrete structures which overshadow the concourse of London’s Euston station. It’s waxed aluminium structure is hand built in Italy by one of KAIA’s vast network of European ateliers and embodies our commitment to take a stand against the emphemeral. Born from the unique design of ‘Empyrean’, ‘Trap’ is a perforated, polished stainless steel sconce housing a KAIA classic, NEA. In opposition to its counterpart, ‘Trap’ encloses the warm glow of its LED lamp to provide a soft, indirect light source which is suitable for both internal and external applications.
