Easy - Bubble Painting Art for Kids Ingredients: - 2–3 tablespoons dish soap or tear-free baby wash per color - 1/4 cup water per color - A few drops of liquid watercolors or food coloring per color - Plastic cups or small bowls (one for each color) - Straws (one for each color) - Heavyweight paper (watercolor paper or cardstock) - Optional: aprons or old shirts for protection Directions: 1. Gather all your ingredients and materials in a workspace. If you’re concerned about mess, have the kids wear aprons or old shirts. 2. In each plastic cup or small bowl, combine 2–3 tablespoons of dish soap or baby wash with 1/4 cup of water. Add a few drops of liquid watercolor or food coloring to each cup for color. Stir gently until well mixed. 3. Take a straw and dip one end into the colored mixture, then blow air into the cup. Watch as bubbles form a dome that rises above the rim. Make sure kids only blow into the straw and do not suck in. 4. Once you have a nice dome of bubbles, take a sheet of heavyweight paper and gently press it down onto the bubbles to pop them. This will leave colorful imprints on your paper. 5. Lift the paper off carefully and set it aside to dry. You can repeat the process with different colors for a layered, rainbow effect. 6. Allow all finished artwork to dry flat to avoid smudging. In a short time, you'll have unique pieces of art showcasing beautiful bubble textures and swirls! Tips & Variations: - Experiment with different types of paper. Some heavier papers may hold the bubbles better, while thinner papers may absorb more color for a different look. - Try adding glitter to the bubble mixture for an extra sparkle effect in the artwork! | Facebook
