This week, we paid homage to the Mardi Gras season by enjoying a Princess and the Frog Dinner Night on Fat Tuesday! Since we were married on Mardi Gras day last year and Princess and the Frog is a FAVORITE Disney film in our household, I wanted to pay tribute with a Princess and the Frog Dinner Night. I used this as an opportunity to learn a little about Mardi Gras culture and traditions and try my hand at making some traditional New Orleans dishes.

Mr. came home from a quick trip to the grocery store the other day with ingredients for Gumbo. When he said he was going to make it, I immediately started planning a Princess and the Frog Movie night. HD was so excited we were going to have one! I went with a green theme for frogs and also because it's the color of the dress Tiana wears at the end of the movie.
