Pop bottle biography project

My kiddos have recently finished their biography reports. They came out SO great! I gave them a choice, they could make a bottle doll and write a report or they could create "quilt squares", which is an outline of that person's life on a poster board. We did our presentations today, the kids said they LOVED making the bottle dolls. Albert Einstein = adorable! Can you match the other famous Americans to their dolls? Get crafty and upcycle empty soda bottles to make little people. You can use any shape or size of bottle to make one of these whimsical dolls for play or display. This tutorial is for a large soda-pop-bottle person, but the technique is the same for smaller bottles.

My 4th grade class worked very hard on their biography projects. Aside from their research and report, they had a little fun too.

3rd grade pop bottle project. Derek Jeter. Using a 1 liter soda bottle, tons of hot glue, styrofoam, pre cut handkerchiefs from hobby lobby, cut to fit the hat and uniform. Foam for the brows and shoes. This was an annoying project obviously not meant for a third grader.
