Kate | Home DIY & Design on Instagram: "One of my all time favorite DIY's! I know they aren't *technically* new doors but they sure look like brand new doors!

It cost me about $50 to do 8 cabinet doors! The plywood was $26, I paid $30 for paint, and then everything else I used was leftover from other jobs!

The gorgeous hardware that I used was from @plankhardware and it was sent to me as a gift so I didn't include that in my cost but you can add whatever hardware you wish - or no hardware at all - but I highly recommend Plank Hardware if you're looking 😉

Tell me in the comments if you have any other questions about the process!

I use cabinet-grade maple or birch plywood for my builds and have not bought it prefinished before because:

1. Not all of the pieces need to be finished, so I didn’t want to feel like I was “wasting” the more expensive prefinished plywood on certain parts of the cabinet.

2. For pieces that need edge banding, like drawers or shelves, it seems like it would be difficult to put a finish on the edge banding that would match the prefinished plywood. So I’ve always just edge banded first and then applied my own finish.
