And if you are an athlete this anterior orientation can actually be beneficial for speed and force production.

It only become an issue when you start to experience pain and lose the ability to move in and out of the position.

Hip flexor stretches and lower back stretches will not teach your body how to reposition the pelvis.

There are 2 key things that will more effectively teach your body how to better position your pelvis:

1. Teaching your hamstrings how to pull the pelvis into a more posteriorly tilted position.

2. Teaching you body how to exhale fully and use your obliques to create a better ribcage and pelvis stack.
