Ducklings are 13 weeks and 6 weeks. The two Pekin ducks hatched from Saxony eggs. Has anyone else had white ducks hatch without any Saxony markings?

Fossil Farms’ Pekin Ducks are raised by a third-generation family-owned farm in Pennsylvania. Our Pekin Ducks are raised in large, temperature-controlled free roaming barns. The Ducks are fed a nutritious diet of corn and soybeans sourced from local farms. They have a blush color, well-balanced flavor and are incredibly tender. All of our Ducks are 100% naturally raised and are part of the “Never Ever Program,” where antibiotics, steroids and hormones are never used.

How did this happen? These ducklings were hatched from eggs bought from a Saxony duck breeder. I've been to this farm and there are only Saxony ducks on the property. The only explanation is a throwback to the German Pekin, one of the three breeds used to create the Saxony breed. I've incubated hundreds of Saxony eggs and on occassion there have been ducklings lighter in colour but always with the distinct facial lines and other plumage characteristic of the Saxony.
