I tried to forgive you, but I can't past the hurt and anger you caused me. I know I've hurt you, not my intention. So, I wish you positive healing and peace in your life. I don't hate you, I just don't have any respect for you after all this time. We are both to blame, not just one. You are a good person, but not for me or me for you. I will remember the great times and cherish those memories, not dwell on the past. Thank you for so many things, but most of all, thank you for moving on.

It's so easy to just tell someone to "let go" of their relationship. But a break up is wrought with so many emotions, actually letting go of an ex isn't so simple. Telling someone going through heartbreak to just move on and try to forget is like asking them to erase their feelings and memories — and we all know that's just not possible.
