Jaffna Public Library is one of the most notable landmarks of Jaffna which is situated along the Jaffna-Point Pedro Road. The library was built in the year 1933 and burnt in 1981 while being completely rehabilitated by 2001. Keerimalai Hot Springs is a natural spring which is located in northern Sri Lanka close to Palaly. A bathing tank, which is separated from the springs only by a wall, is built in this location. Though the tank is located close to the springs, its water comes from an underground freshwater spring.
