Greater bird of paradise

It took eight years. But now every bird of paradise species has been photographed in the wild.

Lophorina superba, Superb Bird-of-paradise, Greater Lophorina, is found mostly in rain forests or forest edges and also mountainous habitats of the forests of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. It is usually found on top of the trees and travels across the trees to catch its prey which can vary depending on seasonal availability of food. It has not only been known to eat fruits and insects, but also have been spotted preying on larger animals such as frogs, reptiles and other small birds.

The Superb Bird-of-paradise (Lophorina superba), also called the greater lophorina, superb-bird-of-paradise, greater superb bird-of-paradise, or greater superb-bird-of-paradise is a species of the Paradisaeidae (bird-of-paradise) family.
