Jan Tschichold's re-design of the German Printers Association journal. He had been invited to showcase his collection of contemporary graphics and he went the whole way, even redesigning the cover and inside layout, much to the shock of the editors.

This is a series of advertisements for Ovomaltine designed by Carlo Vivarelli with advertising consultant Ernst Baenziger in Zurich. Some ads were in multi-color but could be changed to a two-color run for newspapers, before 1958.

German graphic designer Anton Stankowski (1906–1998) was a master of the minimal—and a pioneer of what was referred to as “constructive graphic art” that involved using photographic media. He was also a master of visual shorthand, with emphasis on logos, the minimalist Deutsche Bank, the Münchner Rückversicherungen, REWE and Olympic Congress Baden-Baden. DIN 1451: Designed in 1931 for the German standards body DIN – Deutsches Institut für Normung – it looks and behaves as if it had been produced today. It extols all of the principles of the Bauhaus and has not dated in any way.

The facilities of Giesinger Bräu can be visited, and they offer guided tours of the brewery. For these tours, I designed a gift certificate (Gutschein) revolving around lock and keys as a symbol of granting access.
