Forest pavilion

A weathering-steel pavilion featuring fluid curves formed the centrepiece of this garden by Studio Weave and Tom Massey at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Surrounded by tall trees, this semi-outdoor structure is a place for locals to relax and gather. On the weekends, it transforms into a market bustling with vendors. To create a place for such diversity, we aim to make architecture that is deeply connected to the context but simultaneously open and accessible; a juxtaposition of multiple perspectives and meaning.

The Open Mind Place Heidentempel (pagan temple) is a place to rest and to get in contact with nature and people. It is located directly on the popular trail Heidenstrasse (pagan road), a medieval trade route between Cologne and Leipzig in Germany that dates back more than 1,000 years.
