Stampin With Scraps: Pattern Party Designer Series Paper

Today's Thank You card was made using scraps from the Pattern Party 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper. I decided to use only the black and white paper scraps and cut them into 4" x 1" paper strips. Then I laid them out on a piece of 5-1/4" x 4" White Cardstock while evenly spacing them out and leaving a larger space in the middle for the "Thank You" sentiment. Faux quilt cards are a great way to showcase beautiful Designer Series Papers (DSPs). For these cards, I mostly used Lovely Linen.This first one was inspired by Bobby of Bits & Pieces Design Blog. To make it easier to line up the DSP blocks, I cut a Basic White cardstock panel that was slightly smaller than the cardbase and started by aligning the Designer Series Paper patterns to it at the corners first, before filling in the remaining spaces.
