About dozen miles or so north of Santa Cruz there is a small area you can pull off the Pacific Coast Highway. There is no markings indicating beach access and had it not been that I just happened to pull over I might never have noticed the trail. You then proceed down and across the railroad tracks and down a steep drop to the beach. What you find is a beautiful beach with a large rock.
