The vellum was mounted behind a split in the front panel so that no adhesives showed. I also used vellum for the shadow layer of the sentiment, pasted over a little white card so that the design showed through. This was popped onto foam tape to add more dimension!

Sometimes when I emboss vellum, it cracks. You can hide the cracks by mounting it on a white panel. What about when you don't want white on white? So I started thinking about how to hide the cracks. One of my favorite techniques is to rub a ink pad on an embossing folder. I thought maybe using white pigment ink would hide the cracks.
