Does anyone know what this bug is? I found it on the towel and I noticed theres one in our bathroom sink dead. Its brown. Please help. I found it this week and I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a larger photo than the original in my first request, hopefully that helps.

This small brown moth that showed up at the light last July is called "The Slowpoke." I went on a Google hunt for why it had such an odd name and came up only with the etymology of the scientific name, Athetis tarda, with the Latin "tarda" meaning "slow." But then a quick check of Wagner's Owlet Caterpillar book revealed all: the species is a slowpoke because the caterpillars are lethargic and have a habit of playing dead when disturbed.

This guy is just 5 minutes old. I released him when his neon green wings and disco gold body hardened, turning to a dark brown and bronze-green. The cicadas are a superfamily, the Cicadoidea, of insects in the order Hemiptera. They are in the suborder Auchenorrhyncha, along with smaller jumping bugs such as leafhoppers and froghoppers
