A plethora of in-house perspectives allows us to see what none of us would be able to see on our own. The sum of our individual talents becomes our collective creative genius. The winner of the annual Architectural Photography Awards has been announced – and this year’s top image is a moody shot of Bjarke Ingel’s Twist Museum in Norway. Photographer Laurian Ghinitoiu scooped the overall top prize for his shot of the accordion-like museum at the Kistefos Sculpture Park in Jevnaker. It was picked from 24 shortlisted images across six categories at the annual competition, which is supported by Sto and staged in Amsterdam as part of the World Architecture Festival.

BIG's 8 HOUSE is conceived as a big house in the literal sense of the word. The residential complex is designed to people at every stage of life: the young and the old, nuclear families and singles. Instead of dividing different functions into separate blocks, they are spread out horizontally, giving apartments fresh air and views and commercial spaces access all along the street.
