Around 6-8 weeks babies become much more alert. They are more aware of their surroundings and can are easily overstimulated. 

You may find that your newborn is no longer just dozing off at naptime in the living room. They may start to push through their tiredness and stay awake for longer. 

This usually results in them becoming overtired, which can lead to a harder time getting them to sleep and a shorter nap. 

Here are 3 tips to help you get through this sleep regression! 

1️⃣ prevent overtiredness - get your baby down when they are sleepy, NOT tired. Watch for those sleepy cues and do your best to get baby to sleep before they become overtired.

We want baby to get in most of their calories during the daytime, so they don’t have to eat throughout the night and make up for any missed calories.
