For the Spring 2017 Show, Ashish Embraces His Indian Roots

Amid a swirl of color and sparkle, Delhi native Ashish Gupta payed homage to his Indian heritage with the Spring 2017 collection. It was a more muted occasion than his bubblegum-bright, disco-inflected Fall 2016 collection, one that united traditional Indian silhouettes, fabrics, and makeup with a contemporary British edge, set against the sound of a sitarist plucking away on the runway.
