a field full of yellow flowers with the words, my life is worth nothing to me unless

There are times in my life that I often question why I am working so hard. I become discouraged when something doesn't turn out exactly how I wanted and feel like all my hard work was for nothing. In times like this, I need to remember that I am not working for myself, or anyone else for that matter, I am working for the Lord. an open book with writing on it and the words joy written in cursive ink

Today I started a new Bible Study, using YouVersion. I am doing a 30-day study with devotional thoughts from Oswald Chambers. The topic is JOY. I like the definition of joy that he gives: fulfillment of my God-ordained purpose. Above is a page from my sketch journal, where I recorded some of my thoughts from today’s study. I used Pitt Brush Markers, and I opted to use a black Flair, saving my more expensive Micron markers for my Bible journaling. However, I forgot the Flair is not…

Paul explained to the Ephesian elders that he did not know what dangers would await him on his return to Jerusalem. “Nevertheless, I do not consider my own life of any importance to me,” he told them, “if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received of the Lord Jesus, to bear thorough witness to the good news of the undeserved kindness of God.” (Acts 20:24)
