William Morris Interior Design - William Morris Fabric - Bullerswood - William Morris Curtains
Inspired by a carpet hand-woven at Merton Abbey and exhibited by Morris & Co. at the 1893 Arts and Crafts Society exhibition. The original design probably came from the enormous Persian original hung by Morris in his dining room at Kelmscott House and is now produced in versatile restful colourways and a fabric of the same name.
William Morris Artichoke - Roman Blind inspiration - Morris & Co Fabric
From the Wardle Velvets collection, and featuring the same glorious boldly scaled artichoke heads of J.H. Dearle’s 1898 original, this highly ornamental design receives some of the richest colour treatment of any Morris & Co. velvet. Printed at their Grade II listed factory in Lancashire, a darkly dyed backdrop dramatically foregrounds Dearle’s virile Artichoke pattern. Ideal for use in upholstery, blinds and curtains. Shown here in the Tump colourway.
