Make! Give-Spend-Save Jars
This Give-Spend-Save Jars tutorial is a nifty way for children to manage their pocket money.
Decorate handy little jars that help you to save your pennies.
You will need
Scraps of tissue paper and stickers Black felt pen or permanent marker Labels (or white paper) Scissors PVA glue, dish and spreader Clear tape 3 clean recycled jars (e.g. glass sauce jars and plastic spice jars)
Step 1.
Cut out shapes from tissue paper. You can cut a few layers together so you make more than one with each cut.
Step 2.
Decorate your jars by gluing on your tissue paper shapes. You can also add stickers, if you have any. Leave to dry.
Step 3
Write ‘Give - Spend – Save’ on your labels or a piece of white paper.
Step 4.
Once the decorations are dry, stick one label on each jar using the clear tape. Alternatively you can write directly onto the jars with a permanent pen.
Step 5.
Start collecting coins and deciding which jars they go in.
