Step 11. To make your fishing rod

Put glue on the top of the stick and wrap around the other pipe cleaner. Bend the other end into a loose hook.

In this handmade game, make a fishing rod to remove the plastic from the turtle’s home and help clean up the ocean.

What you'll need:

Glue Tape Scissors Black pen Pencil Card from a cereal box Three plastic lids Egg box base Stick Two pipe cleaners Blue paper

Step 1.

Step 2.

Place the cut out egg holder on the card, and draw your turtle’s head and limbs.

Step 3.

Remove the egg holder and draw tabs onto the head and limbs.

Step 4.

Cut out the head and limbs and fold along the tab line.

Step 5 and 6.

Using glue and tape, stick the head and limbs onto the egg holder. Then add add eyes and a smile to the turtles face.

Step 7.

Cut a circle out of your blue paper.

Step 8. To make the plastic rubbish to fish out

Cut one of the pipe cleaners into 3 parts (get an adult to help you with this).

Step 9.

Twist the pipe cleaners into circles and secure by twisting the ends over.

Tape the pipe cleaners to the plastic lids.
